After the Spanish Steps, which really weren't very impressive, we visited the famous park of the Villa Borghese. This was gorgeous and i highly recommend a visit.
At first we rented a type of cart that could seat six to tour the park in. All the carts had small motors to assist when you pedal, but they didn't have any left, so we took one without motor assist - pedal power only.
OMG - big mistake - the park is full of hills and we were struggling like crazy to get up the hills! It was hilarious, all of us screaming and shouting and laughing as we struggled to get around.
Finally we returned the cart, and I told the man renting them how hard it was. He answers that he told me three times it didn't have a motor when we rented it - which is true, but I didn't know the park was full of hills at that time...
On our way out of the park we found a place that rents Segways. I have always wanted to try this, and Siena was adamant she had to try as well.
That was the end of a relaxing day. Of course we stopped for yet another ice cream on the walk home, then had a nice relaxing evening before our flight to LUX the next morning.
A totally great vacation with my beautiful family. And a huge thanks to Cindy for making it all happen - I love you honey!
